Race course in Čunovo, Bratislava (SVK) is one of the most demanding courses in the Slalom kayak racing. Big waves, fast current and the demanding Niagara at the end of the course require perfect skills and clear head. And we can say it was a breathtaking race. Only those, who could take their focus all through the course, could come to the Niagara within medal time. The drop you can’t find equal in the world and the demanding last three gates were a puzzle to many, but the best took those three gates perfectly!

It was a joy to watch the first three in K1 - sandiLiners Peter Kauzer and Jure Meglič (both SLO) and third Vavrinec Hradilek (sandiEquipe, CZE) as much as the medal winners of all the other categories K1W: golden Jana Dukatova (SVK) and sandiLiners silver Corinna Kuhnle (AUT) and bronse Urša Kragelj (SLO). In C1 it was all Slovakian party - unstoppable Michal Martikan, follewed by his teammates Matej Benuš and Alexander Slafkovsky. In C2 sandiEquipe members Volf/Stepanek (CZE) showed with second place that they are the ones you have to watch in the World’s in Tacen. Victory went to Slovakian double Škantar/Škantar and on third place another sandiEquipe member David Florence with his C2 partner Richard Hunslow (GBR).

We’re happy, we can help them enjoy the race!
